Signs that your body needs vitamin D and how to get it

1. Fatigue

Feeling tired and exhausted, even if you get enough sleep, is often a sign of a deficiency in certain nutrients such as vitamin D.

“There is growing scientific evidence that vitamin D deficiency is associated with fatigue and sleep disorders,” says Dr. Catherine GR Jackson, Professor of Kinesiology and Human Movement Science at the University of California.

A study published in the North American Journal of Medical Sciences has shown that vitamin D deficiency is common in people who report constant fatigue . Vitamin D stimulates the intestines’ ability to absorb the minerals calcium and phosphorus by regulating their levels in the blood.
