According to researchers in the Journal of Sleep Research, people with a higher vitamin D intake sleep better.
They were 16% less likely to have trouble sleeping well.
Another large study, conducted on 1500 neurological patients with atypical sleep, came to a similar conclusion. People who slept less well had a lack of this vital vitamin. The improvement in sleep with a vitamin D supplement was measurable.
