Zendaya completely won the Critics’ Choice Awards when she arrived rocking a hot-pink Tom Ford ensemble.
Gwyneth Paltrow—who wore an equivalent Tom Ford breastplate on the February cover of Harper’s BAZAAR—commented on a photograph of the Euphoria actress, praising their twinning looks.
Only Hollywood’s best get to twin in Tom Ford.
Last night, Zendaya pack up the Critics’ Choice Awards when she received the red carpet rocking a fantastic molded, mock-neck, metallic Tom Ford breastplate with a flowing, high-rise maxi skirt, and waist-length box braids. The design was the talk about Twitter all night long and received praise from fans and fellow celebrities alike.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow also wore the armor-inspired piece on Harper BAZAAR’s February 2020 cover, which allowed for Paltrow to shout out her and Zendaya’s twinning Tom Ford moment, consistent with E! News.
“Thank God I can say I even have something in common with Zendaya,” wrote Paltrow underneath a post showcasing Zendaya’s red-carpet stunner.
The original look debuted on the runway during Ford’s spring 2020 collection presentation last September, and consistent with Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, he and therefore the actress wanted to aim a strong “warrior woman”-inspired look. The ensemble was also a stylistic ode to vintage breastplates previously done by Issey Miyake and Yves Saint Laurent.
Fellow Hollywood stars, like Tracee Ellis Ross, Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid, and Zendaya’s Euphoria costar Alexa Demie, left enthusiastic comments of approval regarding the actress’s awards to point out attire.
“Incredible Law—Jesus Christ,” commented Ariana Grande, who also shares Roach as a stylist.
Zendaya was nominated night’s Critics’ Choice finally for Best Actress during a Drama Series for her role as Rue in HBO’s Euphoria.
