Whether you have had a rhinoplasty, septoplasty surgery, or both procedures, you should be prepared to spend time away from work while your body heals. Most patients take 5-7 working days. Most swelling decomposes during the first few weeks, although there is a degree of minor swelling that can persist for the first 6 to 12 months after rhinoplasty. Nasal splints and stitches can be used after the procedure, but are usually removed after one week.

Both procedures are performed under general anesthesia, but you and your doctor can also choose local anesthesia with intravenous anesthesia if only simple action is needed on your nose. Both treatment options are also implemented as outpatient procedures so that you can go home on the same day the surgery is performed. The duration of both operations is usually less than three hours and will ultimately depend on the number of concerns you target during surgery.
