Prevent stroke in the future
Each year, the number of women in the stroke is twice that of breast cancer, so it’s essential to stay alert for your health, especially after a previous stroke. To help prevent a future stroke, you can:
- – Eat a balanced diet.
- – Maintain a healthy weight.
- – Regular exercise.
- – Quit Smoking.
- – Practice the hobbies you like, such as knitting or yoga, to help improve stress management.
Additional precautions should also be taken because of the unique risk factors faced by women who have previously suffered a stroke, which means:
- – Monitor blood pressure during and after pregnancy.
- – Atrial fibrillation (AFib) if the age is more than 75 years.
- – Checking high blood pressure before starting birth control.
