6- A sharp pain in the chest
Sometimes pulmonary embolism can cause you to feel sharp, sudden pain in your chest. You may feel more pain in your chest while breathing deeply or coughing.
7- Coughing blood
A clot can cause fluid to build up in your lungs, which can cough blood. This occurs typically when pneumonia occurs, but it may also be due to pulmonary embolism.
If you experience one or more of these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention from a hematologist.
