Unique stroke brain symptoms in women
Women could report symptoms that don’t seem to be typically related to strokes in men, and will include:
- 1. Nausea or vomiting.
- 2. Fits.
- 3. Hiccups.
- Difficulty breathing.
- 5. Pain.
- 6. Fainting or loss of consciousness.
- 7. General weakness.
Because these symptoms are unique to women, it may be challenging to connect them to the stroke immediately, and this can delay treatment, which may hinder stroke brain recovery.
If you have these or some of these symptoms, and you do not know if your symptoms are a stroke, you should call your local emergency services. Once the paramedics arrive, they can assess symptoms and start treatment, if necessary.
