Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill Go To War Very Ugly On Twitter

Nicki Minaj Accuses Meek Mill of Abuse, Meek Responds (Twitter)

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill began an explosive social media battle on Wednesday, exchanging allegations of malicious behavior and abuse. The two men ended their love affair in 2017, but have been trading beards ever since. However, it seems that things have reached new heights.

Evidence of such a struggle has been floating in the ether for some time. Last January, for example, Minaj added a beard to his song “Barbie Dreams” at a concert, rapping right after a line about Meek Mill, “I mean, I could tell you secrets but I won’t / because being a bitter bitch is what I don’t do. The rapper responded at this point by threatening to “lose control with the truth.” And last month, Minaj, her husband, Kenneth Petty, and Meek Mill got into an argument in a West Hollywood store.

It’s unclear precisely what triggered Wednesday’s social media flame war. Complex assumptions that may have started when Meek Mill “liked” a meme about Petty Anyway, on Wednesday afternoon, Minaj pushed the rapper on Twitter.

“Trigger fingers turn to #TwitterFingers, a poorly constructed ass obsessed with the Queen,” the rapper wrote, adding in a second tweet: “A nigger has been tweeting my man for a year. He went to my page to see her, but it was blocked. My nigger, go ahead. I know you’re embarrassed. You took a shit in that store when you got pushed.” He ended it with an emoji clown.

But things got more severe in Minaj’s Instagram story, where he first called him a clown and then said, “#TwitterFingers beats women, is afraid of men. He also posted numerous images of the rapper with clown emojis on his face, as well as what appear to be screenshots of various online messages mocking him.

“The only way to try to kill my career is to say that I beat women… talk about your brother who was convicted of rape, and you were known and paid for his lawyer… your little brother also touched this girl,” he wrote. “You know I know… you want me to stay with your boyfriend, and I won’t.”

“You’re sad that you want to crush your man because now you’re losing, and everyone in the industry knows you’re a bad person,” he added. “You knew your brother was raping that girl, that’s why I ran away from you!” (Minaj and Mill didn’t respond to requests for comments.)
Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, was convicted on Monday of repeatedly raping his daughter-in-law in 2015. He was 11 years old at the time. Maraj denied the charges, saying his then-wife was using them to get millions of dollars for her silence, an argument that Minaj repeated in his response to Meek Mill on Wednesday afternoon. But not before he repeated his accusation of abuse.

“You beat your sister, and you record it,” Minaj wrote. “You spit on her, and you taped it. You beat me in front of your mother and sent her to the hospital. Sucking Drake’s dick made you feel bad again. Get over it.”

“Imagine talking about the alleged rape of a child to hurt someone who wasn’t involved, just so the police wouldn’t like it.” “You can never get away with it on your own. You won’t tell the police that the mother is on tape asking me for $20 million to get the charge dropped. You were in the neighborhood. You know, I was. I’ll see you around.”

And in a tweet that has since been deleted but had been captured by Complex, Meek Mill replied once again, saying that Minaj only accused him of abuse because, as he said, “the bag is already sinking.”

And in a (perhaps) final tweet, the rapper added: “To be clear, I don’t hit women, and I don’t want my interviews to be filled with questions about her or anything related to her when the press talks about my new album! No tricks”.
