Fried Cheese-Stuffed Doritos

Ingredients (Makes ~12 bites)

  • 1 bag Doritos (any flavor, crushed finely – Nacho Cheese works best)
  • 8 oz block of mozzarella or cheddar cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crunch)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Ranch or marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

1. Prep the Coating

  • Place crushed Doritos in a shallow bowl.
  • Set up a dredging station: flour in one bowl, eggs in another, Doritos (mixed with panko if using) in the last.

2. Coat the Cheese

  • Roll each cheese cube in flour (light coating).
  • Dip into beaten eggs.
  • Press into crushed Doritos until fully coated.
  • Repeat egg + Doritos coating once more for maximum crunch.

3. Fry

  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry cheese bites in batches for 30–45 seconds, until golden and crisp.
  • Drain on paper towels.

4. Serve

  • Serve hot with ranch, marinara, or spicy chipotle sauce.
